2021

SAREP collaborated with the BADGE (Bangladesh Advancing Development and Growth Through Energy) USAID program to organize a joint Capacity Building Workshop on Day-ahead Market (DAM) participation by Bangladesh on March 31, 2022 at Dhaka. The Workshop was inaugurated by Mohammad Hossain, Director General (DG), Powercell and witnessed participation from Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), Power Gride Company of Bangladesh (PGCB), Powercell, Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC), distribution companies and In Independent Power Producers (IPPs). The Workshop provided knowledge of energy markets and procedures to enroll in India’s DAM. Policy issues, regulatory requirements, and common rules applicable for all participants in the energy market were presented and discussed. A total of 9 participants attended the workshop.
