Swayam Shikshan Prayog
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has partnered with Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP) through the SAREP Partnership Fund (SPF). This project aims to utilize SPF to leverage its extensive network of rural women entrepreneurs, driving the adoption of cost-effective and energy-efficient innovations, as well as livestock waste-to-energy solutions. With the support fromthe grant, the project will implement storage systems that do not require external energy and install prefabricated bio-digester solutions. These bio-digesters will convert livestock waste into energy and produce bio-gas slurry, a highly effective natural fertilizer for small-scale farmers. The anticipated direct impacts of this project, funded by the grant, include reducing wastage of harvested produce, lowering energy costs, and increasing the income of small-scale farmers and rural women micro-entrepreneurs.
