SAREP activities aim to unlock opportunities in applications of renewable technologies, and evolve new business and procurement models for DERs, such as behind-the-meter energy storage, rooftop solar, solar pumps, and scale-up demand response. SAREP will promote DER solutions for the health (solar+energy storage) and agriculture (solar pumps, solar cold chain, and cold storage) sectors.
SAREP will also work on cybersecurity issues and the use of digital technologies for DER. SAREP is currently working with the National Smart Grid Mission on grid-interactive buildings and schemes for on-demand response for utilities. SAREP is also working with the CII-Godrej GBC in promoting the Vendor Rating Program (VRP) for solar rooftops.
