The AI-powered Demand Management System (ADMS) is
an innovative project to address Sri Lanka’s urgent
energy challenges. The project is funded by USAID’s
(United States Agency for International Development)
South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP) program
and implemented by Alta Vision (Pvt) Ltd, with its
expertise in the energy sector. The primary objective is
to enhance the power grid’s efficiency, dependability, and
sustainability while reducing the necessity for extensive
new power generation infrastructure. This is achieved
through demand management. ADMS aims to develop the
technology infrastructure necessary to achieve demand
management. The infrastructure is a combination of smart
devices to monitor and control electric loads, artificial
intelligence (AI) models for forecasting and software
applications for the user to interact.
