The Revamped Revamped Reforms-based and Results-linked Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) has been introduced to boost the country’s smart metering infrastructure. SAREP is partnering entities like Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and state power distributions companies (Discoms) to support smart meter rollout efforts. SAREP activities will focus on creating a smart metering rollout strategy, consumer engagement, big data analytics, system integration, and the selection and onboarding of AMI service providers.
