Farah has been working in the field of sustainable agriculture development for the past 19+ years, covering a range of programs related to implementing, water management, natural/regenerative agriculture, climate adaptation and resilience practices, NRM and forest management with rural communities in Asia. She brings with her a set of skills, covering knowledge management, impact evaluations, strengthening M&E framework, capacity building, communications, outreach and policy advocacy. Her previous experiences in India and abroad has been with working closely with government ministers in countries ( India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, China, Central Asia and Pakistan) in providing advisory services on program development and assessments. She has been a part of the consulting world and has previously working with KPMG International Development Services (IDS) team for 4+ years and various international organisations on strategy development, Gender mainstreaming, partnerships development for large scale landscape/livelihood programs in Asia. She has spent her most recent significant time (six years) of her career with the CGIAR centres specially with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) where she managed the research uptake for Asia and was the communication specialist for India. She joins us now from IDH, a global INGO where she led the partnerships and fundraising for India.

Her education background covers a double post-graduation; one from the ‘Institute of Development Studies’ (IDS), University of Sussex in UK, a MA in Science, Society and Development and another Master’s in Sociology from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi in 2002.
