Established by PowerGrid with support from NSGM and USAID under the guidance of the Ministry of Power, the Smart Grid Knowledge Center (SGKC) is strategically positioned to nurture new ideas, train power sector professionals, demonstrate power sector technologies and share best practices across south Asia. SAREP is working closely with the SGKC team to set up a tech incubation hub – to nurture start-ups and promote continuous innovation in the power sector, establish a physical and virtual innovation park and enable its campus to become a training provider facility and lead forward training mandate under RDSS. SAREP aims to take forward the Government of India’s mandate and make SGKC a leading center of excellence globally in smart grid technologies.
