On Thursday, June 24 2021, the USAID’s South Asia Regional Energy Hub co-hosted with USEA’s Energy Utility Partnership Program (EUPP) a webinar titled “Risks at the Margin”. It is the first in a series that aims at derisking renewable energy projects providing audiences an overview of the underlying risks that investors and lenders need to review and address for project success. (IRENA’s) Jef Vincent, set the context for this series by presenting on how risks and the perception of the risks affect the “bankability” of projects and provided a brief introduction to risk mitigation instruments, which will be covered in more detail during the other webinars in the series.
